Comissions

Commission is a way of creating with intention. It is a process of designing objects and interiors that are made specifically for a place, a purpose, and the people who use them.

Our Editions connects clients with selected designers and craftspeople who create unique, made-to-order pieces based on a deep understanding of materials, proportions, and craftsmanship. Whether it is a piece of furniture, a built-in element, or a larger interior commission, each project begins with a dialogue about how an object can truly serve its surroundings.

We believe that creating something new should be a considered decision. A commissioned piece is not made for a season or a trend, but to become part of everyday life and gain meaning through time.

Our network brings together makers and designers whose practices are rooted in exceptional craftsmanship, material knowledge, and a commitment to lasting design. Each commission is developed individually, from the first idea to the finished piece, creating objects that are made to be used, lived with, and valued over time.

Our Process

  • Geometric drawing of an outline square with sections divided by vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines.

    01 A Need

Sometimes it is a missing piece, an unusual space, or a way of living that existing furniture cannot answer. Rather than adapting to what already exists, we begin by understanding what is truly needed.

  • Geometric drawing of an outline square with sections divided by vertical, horizontal, and half circle lines.

    02 The Conversation

Ideas take shape through dialogue. We work closely with you to understand the object, space, architecture, materials, and everyday life. Together we define the purpose, proportions, and character of the piece before selecting the right designer or maker for the commission.

    03 The right match

Each commission is created by exceptional craftspeople and designers whose work reflects deep material knowledge and outstanding craftsmanship. Every object is made to order, with care, precision, and time.

    04 Designed to belong

The result is a custom-made object or interior element created specifically for its place. Designed to be used, lived with, and valued over time.
