Term & Conditions

Our Editions

Our Editions is a curated platform connecting clients with exceptional designers, artisans, makers and restoration specialists. We represent a carefully selected network of independent creators whose work is defined by craftsmanship, material integrity and a thoughtful approach to design.

Rather than producing or owning the works ourselves, Our Editions acts as a curator and facilitator between clients and makers. Each project is created in collaboration with the selected maker, according to the individual requirements of the commission or order.

These Terms & Conditions describe how purchases, commissions and restoration projects through Our Editions are managed.

Made-to-Order Pieces

Many pieces available through Our Editions are made to order. This means that each work is created specifically for the client after the order has been confirmed.

Due to the handmade nature of the work, slight variations in colour, texture, finish and dimensions may occur. These characteristics are not considered imperfections but are part of the uniqueness and authenticity of individually crafted objects.

Every piece is created with care, respecting the maker’s process, materials and craftsmanship.

Commissions

Commission projects are developed individually between the client, Our Editions and the selected maker.

Each commission begins with an understanding of the client’s wishes, requirements and the possibilities of the chosen designer or artisan. The final scope, materials, timeline and pricing are agreed upon before production begins.

Because commissioned works are created specifically for each client, changes or cancellations after production has started may not be possible.

Restoration Projects

Restoration and repair projects are approached individually, with respect for the original character, materials and history of each object.

Before work begins, the client will receive an assessment of the proposed restoration, including the estimated scope, timeline and costs.

Due to the nature of restoring existing objects, the final result may vary depending on the condition, age and materials of the piece. The aim of restoration is not always to remove every sign of time, but to preserve and extend the life of meaningful objects with care and respect.

Pricing and Payment

Prices are determined individually depending on the piece, materials, complexity and maker involved. For made-to-order pieces and commissions, full payment is required before production begins.

Production will commence once payment has been received.

Lead Times

Estimated production times are provided for each piece or project before confirmation.

As every work is individually made by independent makers, timelines may vary depending on materials, production processes and the maker’s availability.

We believe that exceptional objects are worth waiting for, and that the time invested in craftsmanship is an essential part of their value.

Delivery

Delivery arrangements are agreed upon individually for each project.

The client will be informed of the estimated delivery method and costs before confirming the order. Additional costs related to special delivery requirements, international shipping, installation or handling may apply.

Our Editions and the maker take care to ensure that each piece is prepared and handled appropriately during delivery.

Returns and Cancellations

Due to the made-to-order and individually crafted nature of the works available through Our Editions, returns are generally not possible unless the product is faulty or otherwise agreed in writing.

Once an order has been confirmed and full payment has been received, the order is considered final and cannot be cancelled, as production is initiated specifically for that client.

Materials and Craftsmanship

The works represented by Our Editions are created by independent makers using carefully selected materials and traditional or contemporary techniques.

Natural materials such as wood, stone, metal, textiles and other handcrafted surfaces may contain variations and marks that reflect their origin and the making process.

These qualities are part of what makes each object unique.

Intellectual Property

All designs, images, texts and other content published through Our Editions remain the intellectual property of their respective creators or Our Editions unless otherwise stated.

The reproduction, modification or commercial use of any content without permission is prohibited.

Force Majeure

Our Editions and the makers we represent are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural events, transportation delays, material shortages, production interruptions or other unforeseen circumstances.

In such situations, we will always aim to communicate openly and find the best possible solution together with the client.
